Back in the work shop, chasing steel in the river.

– Sold OutWhen I was making one, I had to make two. This net features leopard wood and sycamore, both quarter sawn to best show the woods figure/grain. The leopard wood is sometimes call lacewood and the quarter sawn sycamore is sometimes referred to as American lacewood. I have combined the pattern of the woods and their contrasting colors for this net. The 11 inch handle combines the two woods with an inset of black palm. The hoop is the same woods, without the black palm.
The hoop is 11 x 14.5 inches, nice for larger trout and small steelhead. I have used this hoop size for silvers in Alaska as well. The soft nylon catch and release bag can be exchanged for a rubber net bag, I would suggest the black bags.
This fly fishing net is also available in a variety of woods, handle shapes and hoop sizes. All nets feature a soft nylon catch and release bag but may be fitted with a ghost bag, as a custom option with this larger hoop size. The net is finished with multiple coats of epoxy. All nets are signed and numbered.
If you are interested in a similar net with custom woods or features it is available as special order, with a 6-12 month wait time. Please contact me if your are interested in a custom order to confirm details. (sam@flyfishingnets.net)
The net, as shown, is a available for immediate shipping. The pictures are of the net you will receive.
